It was a magical day in Duduza when Phumzile Twala and Francois Rouge had their traditional wedding.
How we met……
We met in 2007 Melville, Johannesburg at a restaurant. I was studying law at UJ and a friend of mine went for lunch at this restaurant. Francois was with a friend at the restaurant and they invited us over to their table…..after 3 months of asking me out I finally said yes…and the rest is history.
What was special about your traditional wedding?
Everything was special, I felt like a Zulu princess from my beautiful Zulu hat to every bead I wore. My prince, Francois, and his family danced and laughed and took into our Zulu traditions – that was so special. To see Francois dance the Zulu dance and slaughter a sheep. I feel in love over and over again with my prince. We grew up from different parts of the world and on this day our families become one. Our traditional wedding was on the day Madiba left us and this always is our special day never to be forgotten and so special.
Yes, we did have a white wedding on the 14 December. Every bride should come out with a white dress…lol this man married three times Minnie in France, Zulu wedding and white wedding lol.i will send you pictures.
After the white wedding, we went on a family honeymoon to Kruger for a week with my sisters, my nieces, and his parents. We are .now both living and working in France since 2012 and come to South Africa once a year…I wanted to spend time with my family, it was a great honeymoon.
